The Yao people live in Xishuangbanna near the borders to Lao. Their specialty is marvelous embroidery on extra comfortable jeans.

In their whole life the women wear only 2 or 3 jeans because they are most durable - and also they care a lot after having worked on them for many months. When we asked them to make some jeans for us they told us not to come back before next year: it simply takes that long to make them!
