This tree is like the "mother" of all mango species. It forms a magnificent forest tree in the sub-tropical mountains of Yunnan, China.
The fruits are very rich in Vitamin C and taste more like a lemon than the commercial mangos from tropical countries.
The tree grows well from seeds and can take temperatures around freezing, and a long dry period. The fruits ripen in April.
